Palestinian territory (oPt).

According to investigations conducted by the Palestinian Centre for
Human Rights (PCHR), at approximately 02:30 on Sunday, 01 December 2013, a
number of civilians and security officers of Kamal Odwan Hospital in Beit Lahia
found the corpse of Iyad Abdul Karim Hassan al-Madhoun (41), from Bloc (8) in
Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, near the western gate of the
hospital. Al-Madhoun was admitted to the hospital, but it was found that he was
dead in advance. In addition, there were signs of severe torture and bruises
throughout the corpse, which was transferred to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City to

Officers from the Palestinian police and Internal Security Service
arrived at the hospital and initiated an investigation in the incident.

al-Madhoun from his house and took him to an unknown destination until his
corpse was found near the hospital.
