The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) strongly condemns the ongoing Israeli policy of targeting Palestinian homes and residential buildings, which continues to result in the killings and injuries of civilian Palestinians. One of the most recent attacks occurred on the home of the Alloush family in Jabalia, northern Gaza, where 24 Palestinians were killed and 30 others wounded.
This home belonged to the extended family of our colleague, Muhammad Alloush, who resides in the same area. The attack is a stark example of Israel’s systematic practice of bombing homes on top of their residents and punishing entire communities for refusing to be forcibly displaced from their homes, as Israeli forces have been attempting to displace residents from the region for the past 36 days.
This crime is part of the broader context of Israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, a campaign that began on October 7, 2023, and continues with international silence that amounts to complicity in these violations.
PCHR calls on the international community to take immediate action to end Israel’s collective punishment of civilians, halt the ongoing war crimes, and hold those responsible accountable.
According to information received by the PCHR team, the Israeli warplanes attacked the home of 70-year-old Ali Subh Alloush on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at approximately 6:00 AM. The home is located on the Old Gaza Street in Jabalia town, northern Gaza. The airstrike resulted in the killing of 24 members of the household, including elderly family members, five of their children (two of whom were disabled), three daughters-in-law, and twelve grandchildren, along with two additional young children. The three-story home was completely destroyed, collapsing on top of its residents.
Local residents managed to recover the remains of eight martyrs, which were scattered as body parts, while search operations for the remaining martyrs are still ongoing under the rubble. In addition, 30 individuals from neighbouring homes were injured, many of whom are from the Alloush family, whose homes were also damaged in the attack.
The martyrs include:
Ali Subh Alloush, 70 years old
Maryam Alloush, 65 years old (his wife)
Hanadi Alloush, 30 years old (daughter with disabilities)
Bisan Alloush, 25 years old (daughter with disabilities)

Jinan, 6 years old (granddaughter)

Hamoudah, 5 months old (grandson)
The victims also include Nour Mohammad Alloush, a 7-year-old displaced child, and Layan Ibrahim Alloush, a 9-year-old from a neighbouring family.
Residents continue to dig through the rubble by hand in search of additional victims, as emergency medical services, civil defence, and ambulance teams have been unable to operate in northern Gaza for the past 19 days due to the ongoing Israeli aggression.
It is important to note that since the evening of October 5, 2024, Israeli forces have been carrying out an extensive aerial and ground assault on northern Gaza to implement the General’s Plan. According to local authorities in Gaza, over 1,800 people have been killed and approximately 4,000 injured. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed, and Israel’s actions have resulted in the ongoing ethnic cleansing of entire neighbourhoods. Israeli forces continue to bomb, burn, and level homes and shelters, particularly in the Jabalia Refugee Camp, Jabalia, and Beit Lahia. They are forcing residents in besieged areas to evacuate, directing them to the southern Gaza Strip, while most are attempting to flee to other areas within northern Gaza or to the Gaza Governorate. This part of the broader military strategy to depopulate northern Gaza.
Throughout this period, Israeli forces have also blocked the entry of humanitarian aid, including food and essential supplies, as part of their strategy to use starvation as a weapon of war. This has led to widespread malnutrition and is creating conditions that may result in death from hunger. With its policy of indiscriminate bombing and starvation, Israel is leaving the thousands of civilians who remain in northern Gaza with only two choices: death by bombing or death by hunger. There are no safe areas remaining in Gaza, as every part of the enclave has become a target.
PCHR strongly condemns ongoing genocide being perpetrated against the people of Gaza while the full awarness of the international community. The Center expresses its heartfelt solidarity with its colleague, Muhammad Alloush, and his family following this horrific attack, and extends its condolences for the loss of innocent civilians, including children and women. The Center also wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded.
In light of this, PCHR calls on the international community to ensure that Israel is held accountable for halting its ongoing genocidal policies and any plans aimed at forcibly transferring the population from northern Gaza to the south. PCHR demands that all displaced persons be guaranteed their right to return to their homes.
The Centre also calls on third-party state parties to fulfill their legal obligations by ending Israel’s impunity and holding Israeli officials accountable for committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. It urges immediate decisions to halt the supply of weapons and ammunition to Israel.
Furthermore, PCHR calls for urgent and effective international action to compel Israel to cease its genocidal actions, impose an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and ensure Israel’s compliance with the International Court of Justice’s provisional measures
