Palestinian Killed in an Explosion in Nablus

Maher Tawfiq Abu Salha, a 22-year old resident of Nablus, was killed by the explosion of a bomb he was preparing in Nablus.

PCHR’s preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 00:30 on Wednesday, 13 September 2006, Maher Abu Salha, an activist in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, was killed by the premature explosion of a bomb he was preparing in the Qeisareyya area in the old city in Nablus. Salha’s body was torn to pieces by the explosion.

PCHR is concerned over the continued falling of victims due to the misuse of arms by Palestinian groups and individuals, which is a part of the security chaos plaguing the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The Centre calls upon the Palestinian National Authority, represented by the Attorney-General, to seriously investigate these crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice.
