Bomb Detonated in Front of Mobile Phone Shop in Gaza

Field Update

 

On Wednesday morning, 01 June 2011, unknown persons detonated a
bomb at the entrance of Jana Phone shop for mobile phones in Gaza City. This attack is part of the prevailing state
of security chaos and proliferation of weapons.

 

According to investigations conducted by the Palestinian Center for
Human Rights (PCHR), at approximately 03:00, unknown persons detonated a bomb
at the entrance of Jana Phone for mobile phones, which belongs to Sa’id
Kalloub, 20, in al-Nasser Street in the north of Gaza City. The shop was heavily damaged, but no
casualties were reported. The
Palestinian police arrived at the scene and opened an investigation into the
attack. 

 

PCHR strongly condemns this attack, which is part of the prevailing
state of security chaos and proliferation of weapons, and calls upon the
Attorney General’s offices to investigate it and bring the perpetrators to
justice.
