A Palestinian Killed in a Family Dispute in Khan Yunis
On Saturday evening, 29 July 2006, Sa’id Ahmed Jarghoun, 47, from Deir al-Balah, was killed by a live bullet to the head in an interfamily dispute in Khan Yunis.
According to investigations conducted by PCHR, at approximately 23:20, Jarghoun’s body was brought to Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. He was hit by a live bullet in an interfamily dispute in Ma’an village, east of Khan Yunis, in which firearms were used.
PCHR is concerned over the continuation of internal violence, including the use of weapons in personal and family disputes, which is further aggravating the current state of security chaos in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. PCHR calls upon the PNA, represented by the Attorney-General, to investigate these attacks and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
