A Man Wounded and another One Abducted by Unknown Militants in Gaza

On Thursday noon, 27 December 2007, a man was wounded and one of his relative was kidnapped by unknown militants in the east of Gaza City.

According to investigations conducted by PCHR, at approximately 12:00 on Thursday, 27 December 2007, unknown militants traveling in 2 civilian cars fired at Sameer Yousef al-Hlouli, 33, and Munther al-Sayed al-Hlouli, 34, who used to be members of the Preventive Security Service, when they were near their homes in al-Shojaeya neighborhood in the east of Gaza City. The former was wounded by 2 gunshots to the feet and the latter was kidnapped by the militants who took him to an unknown destination.

PCHR is gravely concerned for the increasing number of casualties resulting from the misuse of weapons. PCHR reiterates its call for the Palestinian National Authority, represented by the Attorney-General, to investigate such attacks, to bring the perpetrators to justice and to ensure their non-recurrence.
