Man Killed in East of Nablus

Field Update

On Wednesday evening, 09th January 2013, Abdul Karim
Taqfiq Eissa, 36, from Salem village east of Nablus, was shot dead. His killers
have not been identified yet.  This
attack indicates the proliferation of weapons and assaults on the rule of law
in the occupied Palestinian territory.

 

According to investigations conducted by the Palestinian Centre for
Human Rights (PCHR), as per an eyewitness, at approximately 19:00 hours on
Wednesday, 09th January 2013, the body of Abdul Karim Salama Eissa,
who owns a shop for printing designs on clothes, was found in the street nearly
400 meters away from his house in the al-Otayba area in the south of Salem
village, east of Nablus.  The body was
taken to Rafidya Hospital in Nablus in a civilian car.  According to medical sources, Eissa was hit
by several bullets to the head and the abdomen. 
The Palestinian police arrived at the scene and opened an investigation.

 

PCHR strongly condemns this crime, and calls upon the Public
Prosecution to seriously and thoroughly investigate it and bring the
perpetrators before justice.
