Israel Kills 10 Palestinians, Including a Girl, in Strikes Across Gaza

From 26 to 28 October 2026, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed 10 Palestinians, including a girl, and wounded others, including children, women, employees, and traders, in airstrikes and gunfire targeting various areas across the Gaza Strip. The most significant of these attacks targeted a Ministry of Economy work site designated to coordinate the entry of commercial goods and humanitarian aid trucks, killing four personnel and wounding 38 people, including employees and traders. The attack targeted civilian personnel and activities related to the entry of goods and humanitarian aid, further undermining the remaining foundations of civilian life and civil order in the Gaza Strip.

The most significant attacks documented by PCHR’s field researchers were as follows:

At around 19:45 on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, the IOF targeted a house belonging to the Karim family on al-Sekkah Street, near al-Sanafour intersection in eastern Gaza City, with a shell fired from an Israeli military vehicle. The attack wounded 11 residents and displaced people, two of whom sustained critical injuries.

At around 15:25, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a gathering of people on Street 20 in the eastern part of al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, wounding three people.

At around 14:58 on the same day, an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a Ministry of Economy work site on al-Rasheed Coastal Road in the al-Mawasi area, west of Rafah, which is densely populated by displaced people. The attack killed three people who were on duty at the site: Mahmoud Sobhi Soliman Abu Ne’mah (50), Mohammed Hamas Shreiki al-Sultan (42), and Hammam Jaber al-Sayed Abu Lebdah (31). The attack also wounded 38 people, including traders and employees. Seven sustained serious injuries, one of whom, Wessam ‘Ezzat Mohammed Sultan (50), died approximately six hours later.

The site was designated for inspecting, coordinating, and registering the entry of commercial trucks and humanitarian aid trucks arriving through the Kerem Shalom Crossing, southeast of Rafah, as well as receiving traders and their representatives to complete commercial transactions.

At around 12:55 on the same day, an Israeli drone targeted Mohammed ‘Elian Yousif al-Bayouk (33) while he was on the rooftop of ‘Abdel Rahman al-Agha School, which is sheltering displaced people in the al-Batn al-Sameen area of southern Khan Younis. He was killed in the attack, which also wounded two other people, including a woman. All three casualties were taken to Nasser Medical Complex.

At around 12:24 on the same day, an Israeli drone targeted a group of Palestinians gathered between their tents near al-Tinah Street in Mawasi al-Qararah, northwest of Khan Younis. The attack wounded five displaced people, who were taken to the Red Crescent Hospital, where one was reported to be in serious condition.

At around 18:30 on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, IOF stationed along the Yellow Line in the eastern part of Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip opened fire towards the camp’s western areas, killing Mahmoud Sameeh Mahmoud al-Harsh (28). He was shot while standing in the middle of al-Hojah Street in the camp.

At around 12:40 on the same day, an Israeli quadcopter dropped a bomb on a small boat approximately 100 meters offshore, opposite Fish Fresh Restaurant in the southwestern part of Mawasi Khan Youni. The attack wounded Haitham Na’im Mahmoud Farahat (30), who was taken to the Red Crescent Field Hospital in Mawasi Rafah.

At around 11:00 on the same day, medical sources announced the death of Ahmed Yasin Fayez Bseiso (44) who succumbed to serious injuries sustained on the morning of Sunday, 18 October 2026, when he was targeted by an Israeli drone near Palestine Stadium in the al-Rimal neighborhood of western Gaza City. The attack had left him seriously wounded in addition to three other Palestinians.

At around 10:25 on the same day, an Israeli drone targeted a Palestinian man as he was walking near the Yellow Line on al-Rasheed Coastal Road in western Mawasi Rafah. Ambulance crews were unable to reach him or evacuate him at the time. At around 18:00 that day, following coordination with the International Committee of the Red cross (ICRC), a Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance, accompanied by an ICRC vehicle, arrived at the scene and evacuated his dismembered body to Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis. His identity remains unknown.

At dawn on the same day, medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis announced the death of Tahani Mohammed Sa’id Shalalfah (6), who succumbed to critical injuries sustained at dawn the previous day, Monday, after being shot by IOF stationed along the Yellow Line southwest of Gaza City. The shooting had killed three Palestinians, including a girl, at the time.

At around 10:50 on Monday, 26 October 2026, an Israeli drone targeted a displaced person’s tent inside al-Ribat College, near Street 5 in the al-Mawasi area, northwest of Khan Younis. The attack killed Anas Akram Mohammed al-Hamaydah (31) and wounded several others.

PCHR condemns the IOF’s continued attacks on civilians across the Gaza Strip, including displaced people and personnel working at civilian facilities, amid ongoing restrictions on the entry of essential supplies and the further deterioration of humanitarian conditions. PCHR stresses that targeting civilian personnel and facilities tasked with regulating the entry of goods and humanitarian aid exacerbates the suffering of the population and threatens the remaining essential services and activities vital to sustaining life in the Gaza Strip.

PCHR calls on the international community to take concrete and effective action to compel Israel to immediately halt its attacks on civilians and civilian personnel, ensure the protection of the civilian population, including displaced people and personnel tasked with regulating the entry of goods and humanitarian aid, and hold those responsible for crimes committed against Palestinians accountable, thereby ending impunity.
