Between 2 and 5 November 2026, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed seven Palestinians, including a girl, in a series of airstrikes and shootings targeting various areas across the Gaza Strip. Among those killed were two Palestinians who succumbed to injuries sustained in previous attacks. Several others, including children, were also injured. IOF also arrested a Palestinian man returning to the Gaza Strip through Rafah Border Crossing, despite having received prior approval for his return. This incident, along with other recent arrests, clearly demonstrates how the route back to the Gaza Strip has turned into an arrest trap.
Among the most significant attacks documented by PCHR’s field researchers:
At approximately 00:35 on Thursday, 5 November 2026, an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a tent near Mushtaha Tower, southwest of al-Nusseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Later, the Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza issued a statement confirming that Shalouf was a First Lieutenant in the Internal Security Service in Rafah and had been killed in an Israeli strike targeting several officers and members of the Interior Ministry. In a statement, the College said that the attack took place in the area between its buildings and the Egyptian Displacement Camp, exposing everyone in the vicinity to danger. It stressed that its students, staff, and the families displaced within the walls of its Khan Younis branch were safe.
At approximately 06:15 on the same day, medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis announced the death of ‘Emad ‘Omar Ahmed Radi (39), who had succumbed to serious injuries sustained on Monday, 2 November 2026, in an earlier Israeli strike on the Japanese neighborhood, west of al-Amal neighbourhood in Khan Younis. The earlier strike killed Mahmoud Jihad Qofah (46) and wounded several others, who were transferred to Nasser Medical Complex for treatment. Radi was among the wounded and was reported to be in serious condition. He remained hospitalized for treatment until his death was announced.
On the same Tuesday, IOF arrested Mohammed Hasan Saleem Lubbad (36) as he was returning to the Gaza Strip through Rafah Border Crossing. His brother, Ahmed Hasan Saleem Lubbad (33), said that he learned of his brother’s arrest through the media. He added that his brother had left the Gaza Strip for Egypt through Rafah Border Crossing last February to receive medical treatment after sustaining injuries in an Israeli strike during the Israeli offensive, which resulted in the amputation of his left leg. After completing his treatment and rehabilitation, Mohammed was fitted with a prosthetic limb. However, he was arrested by IOF on his way back to the Gaza Strip.
At approximately 17:40 on Monday, 2 November 2026, Israeli soldiers and military vehicles stationed in the Yellow Zone opened heavy and indiscriminate fire at tents sheltering displaced persons and the remaining houses in al-Batn al-Sameen, southwest of Khan Younis. The strike killed al-Rawagh and wounded three others, including Abu Geinas, whose injuries were reported to be critical.

The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) calls on the international community to take immediate action to compel Israel to halt its attacks on civilians and personnel working at civilian facilities, ensure the protection of the civilian population, and hold those responsible for crimes committed against Palestinians accountable, thereby ending the entrenched impunity.
