As part of Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR’s) Follow up for the latest Israeli Naval Forces’ attack against the Palestinian fishermen off Gaza Valley shore on Saturday, 15 December 2018, that resulted in the injury and arrest of 2 fishermen in addition to arresting 2 others and confiscation of 2 fishing boats, the lawyer at PCHR’s Legal Unit said that fishermen Mohammed Falah Abu Riyalah and Mohammed Salah Abu Riyalah were critically wounded by the Israeli Naval forces while chasing them. Both fishermen were then arrested and taken to Barzilai Hospital in al-Majdal to receive medical treatment. PCHR’s lawyer emphasized that the Israeli authorities extended the detention of fisherman Mohammed Saleh Abu Riyalah for an additional 15 days pending investigation.

As a result, 4 fishermen were arrested; one of them was wounded, and 2 fishing boats were detained.
