On Monday noon, 28 December 2009, a delegation from the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) visited Ms. Karen Abu Zeid, UNRWA Commissioner-General, inSave her office at UNRWA headquarters in Gaza City.

The delegation included Deputy Director of PCHR, Jaber Wishah, Director of PCHR’s Legal Aid unit, Mr. Eyad Al-Alami, and Director of PCHR’s Democratic Development Unit, Mr. Hamdi Shaqoura.

This farewell visit to Ms. Abu Zeid marked the end of her tenure as UNRWA Commissioner-General. The delegation presented PCHR’s souvenir emblem to Ms. Aby Zayd in appreciation of her efforts exerted in support the Palestinian refugees’ cause.

PCHR highly appreciate the role played by Ms. Abu Zeid during her years of work in UNRWA. Mr. Jaber Wishah highlighted the years of cooperation between PCHR and Ms. Abu Zeid and UNRWA. He wished her a successful future both at the personal and professional levels.
