Ref: 51/2011
On Thursday, 08 September 2011, the Permanent Military Court in
Gaza City held a hearing to consider the case of the murder of the Italian
solidarity activist, Vittorio Arigoni. Lawyers from the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) attended the
hearing as observers in their capacity as legal representatives of Arigoni’s
family.
The court hearing was adjourned to 22 September 2011, and the
Public Prosecution was instructed to present witnesses.
PCHR will continue to follow up the court hearings and brief
Arrigoni’s family on the legal proceeding, in accordance with the power of
attorney granted by the family to PCHR.
The court had already held two hearings to consider the case last
July and August.
