Israel has once again launched a new wave of intense bombardment in the Gaza strip, in disregard for the ceasefire agreement and recommitting acts of genocide pursuant to clear decisions from the highest Israeli political and military levels.

During these intense airstrikes, which lasted for several hours on Saturday, the IOF killed 24 Palestinians and wounded 87 others. This comes at a time when daily killings by shooting and bombardment continue unabated, alongside the destruction of the last remaining homes and buildings, insisting on eliminating all chances for life and a viable future in the Gaza Strip.

These recurrent crimes reflect Israel’s reinforcement of a systematic policy that controls the daily pattern of bombardment and killing, in blatant defiance of the ceasefire declared on 10 October 2025. Since then, airstrikes and artillery shelling have continued unabated, claiming the lives of 342 Palestinians and wounding 875 others, according to the Ministry of Health.

As part of what was documented by our staff yesterday, Saturday, 22 November 2025, at around 15:15, Israeli warplanes targeted a house belonging to the ‘Abed family in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, striking the third floor. As a result, Neveen Mohammed Hasan ‘Abed (Abu Shanab) (39) and a child, Usamah Soliman Mansour, 14, were killed, and ten others were wounded. The attack also caused severe destruction to nearby houses and buildings.

At around 15:25 on the same day, Israeli warplanes attacked the fourth floor of Abu Amounah family’s house in Block 5 in al-Nusseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. As a result, four civilians were killed, including a couple and their daughter. They were identified as Usamah Jamil ‘Abdel Rahim Abu Amounah (48) and his wife Sanaa’ Fo’ad ‘Abdel Rahim Abu Amounah (46) and their daughter Eman (14) and Mustafa Sa’id ‘Abdel Rahman Abu Hasaballah (65. Also, 15 others were wounded.

At around 16:05, Israeli warplanes targeted a house belonging to the Abu Shawish family in Block 2 of al-Nusseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. The attack killed 12 civilians, including four children and three women, while wounding others from the house and neighboring homes, some with serious injuries. Those killed have been identified as: Ghaleb ‘Abdel Rahman Mahmoud Abu Shawish (51), his wife Kamilia Fayeq Abu Shawish (45) and their children, Belal (24), Shahd (22) Diala (11), Sahar ‘Abdel Rahman Yousif Abu Shawish/ al-Buheisi (40) and their children Mohammed (18), Tayma (16), Yousif (14) and Habibah (11), who were the children of Rami Mohammed Abu Shawish (30) , and Ahmed Taysir ‘Ayesh Hamdan (31).

A similar wave of bombardment occurred on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, killing 32 Palestinians, including 12 children and 8 women, and wounding 88 others.

According to documentation by our field researchers during this wave, at around 03:30 on the same day, Israeli warplanes targeted a house belonging to the Abu Sabet family in Bani Suhaila village, east of Khan Younis. The attack killed three residents, including two children, and injured others. The victims were identified as Razan Sabri Fayeq Abu Sabet (17), her brother Mohammed (20), and their 11-month-old niece, Ayloul Sabri Abu Sabet.

At around 17:20 on the same day, Israeli warplanes bombed a tent for displaced people near the UNRWA club on the beach, southwest of al-Mawasi in Khan Younis. As a result, six were killed, including 2 women and others were wounded. Those killed were identified as: Tawfiq Haidar Tawfiq Hammad (30), his wife Alaa Subhi Mohammed Al-Najjar (30), Abdullah Tawfiq Abdullah Abu Shammala (42), Nahid Abdel Malik ‘Abed Abu Shahla (54), Ibrahim ‘Ali Abdel Hadi Abu Jaser (40), and Ruba Jouda Mohammed Abu al-‘Ola (23).

At around 18:05, Israeli warplanes bombed another tent belonging to displaced people in the Al-Buraq Al-Shimali area, west of Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis. The attack killed 7 displaced people, including 3 women and 3 children, and injured others with varying degrees of wounds. The victims were identified as Fadi ‘Abed Ibrahim Abu Mustafa (37) and his children: ‘Abdullah (10), Waslat (11), and Mohammed (6 months), Ashwaq Abdel Karim Mahmoud Abu Muammar (27), Ramzi Saleh Al-Jabour (21), and Shurooq Fathi Ahmed Sheikh Al-Eid (20).

The IOF also expanded the area under their control over the Gaza Strip, now covering up to 60% of the Strip’s area, by relocating the yellow warning signs that separate the areas where IOF remain stationed from the rest of the Gaza Strip. These signs were moved 250 to 300 meters into Al-Sha‘af, Al-Nazzaz, and Baghdad Streets, east of Gaza City. Consequently, dozens of families were forcibly displaced once again from these areas and their surroundings.

According to our field researchers, the IOF have not ceased their airstrikes, artillery bombardment, and shootings since the ceasefire was declared. They have also carried out repeated demolitions in areas located behind the yellow line, targeting the remaining houses and buildings. All of this is happening while the residents of the Gaza Strip continue to suffer due to the lack of adequate shelters, as around 90% of the Strip’s buildings have been destroyed over the past 25 months amid ongoing aggression, siege, and severe repercussions on economic, health, and humanitarian conditions.

These attacks constitute a consistent pattern of Israeli military aggression, including genocidal acts and collective punishment committed by the IOF against Palestinians in Gaza. They represent a grave violation of the Rome Statute, the four Geneva Conventions of 1949, and international humanitarian law, which strictly prohibits the targeting of civilians and civilian objects.

PCHR warns that the international community’s continued silence towards these crimes and failure to hold Israel accountable grant it a green light to persist in its killing and destruction, paving the way for a new phase of systematic genocidal crimes against Palestinian civilians.

PCHR calls on the international community to uphold their responsibilities and take immediate action, including providing urgent protection for civilians, ending the IOF’s military presence in the Gaza Strip, halting the use of tactics and weapons that target civilian neighborhoods, and compelling Israel to cease its attacks and siege of the Strip.
