The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continue to carry out widespread and systematic attacks against Palestinian civilians throughout the Gaza Strip by targeting homes, displacement tents, shelters, civilian gatherings, and civilian vehicles. These attacks form part of a comprehensive policy aimed at destroying the essentials of life in the Gaza Strip through mass killings, widespread destruction, starvation, and forced displacement as part of the ongoing genocide against more than two million Palestinians.
The following are the most significant incidents documented by the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights’ (PCHR) field researchers:
At approximately 03:44 on Thursday, 30 July 2026, an Israeli helicopter launched a missile at a displacement tent near the University College of Applied Sciences, southwest of al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis. As a result, Ratil Mahmoud Mousa ‘Abdullah (8) and her maternal uncle, ‘Abdullah Nasser ‘Abdel Fattah al-Bal’awi (20), were killed and three other children were seriously injured.
At approximately 18:10 on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a people gathered outside Jasmine Center for Beauty and Occasion Dress Rental, in the vicinity of al-Kanz Mosque in al-Rimal neighborhood, Gaza City. At approximately 20:15 on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, a Palestinian resident received a phone call from the IOF ordering the evacuation of an entire residential block in Deir al-Balah, in the Central Gaza Strip. Residents immediately began evacuating their homes and fleeing the area for fear of being injured. Around 30 minutes later, an Israeli warplane launched a missile targeting an object that was not immediately identified. After the dust had settled, it became clear that the targeted building was a two-storey house belonging to Jaber al-Najjar, located at the beginning of Sheikh Dawood Street. The strike completely destroyed the house and caused extensive damage to four adjacent houses, as well as varying degrees of damage to numerous other homes. Several shops, offices of local institutions, and a kindergarten in a rented house north of the targeted area also sustained damage. The attack further caused extensive damage to the infrastructure, including the landline telephone, internet, and telecommunications networks, completely destroyed a civilian vehicle, and partially damaged several other vehicles.
At approximately 19:00 on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, the IOF issued an evacuation order for an entire residential block in the vicinity of Dar al-Muttaqin Mosque on al-Yarmouk Street in Gaza City. Residents evacuated their homes and fled the area for fear of imminent attack. Around one hour later, an Israeli warplane targeted the mosque with at least one missile, completely destroying it and causing damage to several nearby residential buildings.
At approximately 16:20, an Israeli drone targeted an apartment on the sixth floor of al-Qolaq Residential and Commercial Building near Palmira Intersection on al-Wehdah Street in Gaza City. As a result, five residents of the building and passersby sustained injuries of varying severity.

At approximately 11:50, an Israeli drone fired a missile at Mohammed Khalil Mohammed Isleem (37) while he was walking near the Japanese Bridge in al-Qarara area, north of Khan Younis. He sustained critical injuries, and at around 15:15 on the same day, medical sources announced that he had succumbed to his injuries.
PCHR reiterates that the IOF’s continued attacks against civilians and places where they are present, including residential neighborhoods, inhabited homes, shelters and civilian vehicles, reflect a systematic policy aimed at expanding the scope of killings and inflicting the highest possible number of civilian casualties as part of Israel’s ongoing crime of genocide against the population of the Gaza Strip.
PCHR calls on the international community to fulfil its legal and moral obligations by taking urgent action to stop the crime of genocide and other international crimes being committed in the Gaza Strip; ensure international protection for the civilian population; hold Israeli perpetrators accountable for the crimes they have committed; end the longstanding policy of impunity; and ensure the implementation of the International Court of Justice’s Orders and the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court, as legal obligations binding on all States.
