Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed 16 Palestinians, including six women and a child, and injured at least 36 others between Wednesday noon, 30 September, and Saturday dawn, 3 October 2026, in a series of attacks and gunfire targeting various areas across the Gaza Strip, according to information collected by the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR).
These incidents reflect the IOF’s ongoing pattern of daily and mass killings of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, more than a year after the ceasefire that has failed to materialize on the ground and three years into Israel’s widescale genocidal campaign. The attacks documented by PCHR have been carried out by Israel, with no hostilities being conducted by any other party. They include airstrikes, attacks on displacement tents, residential areas and vehicles, and the use of live ammunition against civilians, as the catastrophic humanitarian crisis continues to worsen. These attacks are taking place amid widespread destruction and acute shortages of life essentials, further exacerbating the already dire conditions of the population.
The most significant attacks documented by PCHR field researchers:

The wounded were transferred to al-Shifa Medical Complex for treatment. The strike also caused extensive damage to the targeted building. Those killed were identified as Maisaa’ Khader Ibrahim Abu Dawoud (55), and her daughter, Mary Hafez Michelle Abu Dawoud (36), both Christian women; Halloum Mahmoud Mohammed al-Bobo (84) and her daughter, Yasim Khamis Mohammed al-Bobo (48), an academic; and Belal ‘Ali Khalil ‘Odah (20).
At around 16:35 on Friday, 2 October 2026, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a house belonging to Abu ‘Aweimer family in al-Nusseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. As a result, Ibrahim Mustafa Soliman Abu ‘Aweimer (35).

As a result, Eman Ramez Mohammed ‘Abdel ‘Aal (21) was killed, while four other residents of the building were injured.
At approximately 15:10 on the same day, an Israeli drone fired a missile at an endowments center in northwestern al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, targeting Mohammed ‘Abdel ‘Aziz al-Najjar (38) a broadcaster with the Endowments Ministry’s radio station, as he stood on the building’s balcony. As a result, he was killed.
At approximately 12:20 on the same day, an Israeli drone fired at least one missile at a blue Volkswagen bus carrying passengers and dragging a makeshift vehicle as it travelled along the Ministerial Council Street in the Tal al-Hawa area, west of Gaza City. As a result, five Palestinians were killed, including a woman and a child, and 15 others were injured. The wounded were taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for treatment. The bodies of those killed were identified as Shorouk No’man Mahmoud Hamoudah (32); 17-year-old Yousif ‘Adel Yousif al-Hamarnah; ‘Ammar Mahmoud Mohammed al-Shrafi(40); Mohammed Ahmed Abu Ghaben (51;) and Sameh ‘Abdel Hafez ‘Ali ‘Eid (30).

Four people were injured, including two children and a woman. They were all taken to Nasser Medical Complex for treatment, and one of the injured was reported to be in serious condition.
The IOF’s ongoing killing and injury of Palestinians, along with attacks targeting their homes, displacement tents, gatherings, vehicles and facilities, further demonstrate that the ceasefire has failed to provide effective protection for civilians in the Gaza Strip. Palestinians across the Strip remain exposed to direct and ongoing threats to their lives.
PCHR emphasizes that Israel’s continued targeting of civilians and civilian objects in densely populated areas, as well as the IOF’s shooting of civilians from military positions, heightens the risk of further violations of the right to life and deepens the humanitarian crisis facing more than two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
PCHR calls upon the international community to fulfil its legal obligations to protect civilians in the Gaza Strip, take immediate and effective measures to halt Israeli attacks against civilians and civilian objects, and take tangible steps to ensure accountability for those responsible for these crimes and end the impunity enjoyed by perpetrators of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
