The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed 16 Palestinians, including two children, a girl and a woman, between Friday, 26 September 2026, and Tuesday, 29 September 2026, in airstrikes and gunfire incidents documented by Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) field researchers across the Gaza Strip. Dozens of others were also injured, some reportedly sustaining serious and critical injuries, as Israel’s ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip enters its third year.

Among the most significant attacks documented by PCHR Field Researchers:

At around 15:50 on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of people gathered inside Halawah Displacement Camp in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip. The attack killed at least two people, whose identities have not yet been known, and injured seven others, who were taken to hospitals in Gaza City for medical treatment.

At around 13:40 on the same day, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of people gathered in the vicinity of al-Fakhoura Clinic in Jabalia Refugee Camp, north of the Gaza Strip. The attack injured four people, one of whom was reportedly in critical condition.

At around 14:00 on the same day, medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex declared Rania Maher Salamah Sa’ed (17) dead after she succumbed to injuries sustained on Friday afternoon, 25 September 2026, when Israeli vehicles opened fire on displacement camps in Mawasi Rafah. She had been admitted to the hospital following the incident, with her injuries reported to be serious at the time.

At around 03:20 on the same day, Israeli drones targeted a residential apartment on the third floor of al-We’am Building, near al-Lababidi Intersection on al-Naser Street in western Gaza City. The attack killed ‘Ezz al-Deen ‘Abdel ‘Aziz Ahmed al-Beik (47) and Mohannad ‘Abdel Bari al-‘Abed Abu Foul (25), while several other residents of the building sustained varying injuries and were taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for medical treatment.

At around 00:40 on the same day, Israeli military vehicles in the vicinity of Abu Maryam al-Tawashi Intersection in eastern Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, opened heavy fire towards the western areas. As a result, Ahmed Khaled ‘Awad Abu More (21) sustained a bullet wound to the head while he was at al-Mahtah Traffic Light on Salah al-Deen Street in the city. He was taken to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, where he was pronounced dead approximately half an hour later after succumbing to his injuries.

At around 13:00 on Monday, 28 September 2026, Israeli drones fired two missiles at the rooftop of the al-Mashharawi family home near al-Mashahrah Mosque in al-Tuffah neighborhood, Gaza City. The strike killed Amal Khaled Jamal al-‘Ejlah (19) and her unborn child. She was seven months pregnant. Meanwhile, her husband sustained critical injuries and was taken to al-Ahli al-‘Araby Baptist Hospital for medical treatment.

At around 19:00 on Sunday, 27 September 2026, Israeli military vehicles advanced towards the vicinity of al-Manamah Elementary School for Boys, near the American School, southwest of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip. The vehicles opened fire on houses and tents sheltering Palestinians in the al-Twam area, south of the area into which the vehicles had advanced. As a result, 69-year-old Ghazi ‘Ali Mohammed al-‘Arbeed was killed by a gunshot, while three others sustained varying injuries and were taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for medical treatment.

At around 17:00 on the same day, Israeli drones fired a missile at a civilian Hyundai Santa Fe vehicle while it was travelling near al-Sena’ah Intersection in Gaza City. The strike killed Shadi ‘Abdel Karim Salem Abu Hasirah (42) and injured another person, who sustained moderate injuries and was taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for medical treatment.

At around 16:15 on the same day, Tariq Kamel Mohammed al-Masri (17) arrived at Nasser Medical Complex after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head near Rafah Garage in central Khan Younis. The gunfire came from Israeli military positions established in the Yellow Zone in eastern Khan Younis. His injuries were reported to be serious, and he was pronounced dead approximately two hours later after succumbing to his injuries.

At around 10:05 on Sunday morning, an Israeli drone targeted a group of Palestinians gathered near al-Qobbah Mosque in northwestern Mawasi Khan Younis. As a result, ‘Oday ‘Adli ‘Abed al-‘Assar (28) was injured and taken to Nasser Medical Complex, where his injuries were reported to be serious. He was later pronounced dead after succumbing to his wounds.

At around 08:00 on the same day, Israeli drones fired a missile at a group of Palestinians gathered near al-Abyad Mosque in central al-Shati’ Refugee Camp, west of Gaza City. As a result, two people sustained injuries, one of whom was reportedly in critical condition. Both were taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for medical treatment.

At around 00:00 on Sunday, Israeli drones fired two missiles at a group of Palestinians gathered in front of Lubbad Frozen Food Shops on Street 2 in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City. As a result, seven people sustained varying injuries, one of whom sustained critical injuries. All of them were taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for medical treatment.

At around 17:30 on Saturday, 26 September 2026, Israeli soldiers stationed in the Yellow Zone, northwest of Rafah City, opened fire on displacement tents near the German Chalet, southwest of Mawasi Khan Younis. As a result, Mohammed Seif al-Deen ‘Abdel Wahhab al-Shakhreet (8) was killed inside his family’s tent after being struck by a bullet in the abdomen, causing severe internal bleeding.

At around 17:35 on the same day, Israeli drones fired a missile at a group of people gathered near al-Nouri Building on Julis Street, north of al-Nuseirat Refugee Camp in the central Gaza Strip. The strike killed Saher Nidal Lotfi Saqer (31) and critically injured another person, who was taken to al-‘Awda Hospital in al-Nuseirat Refugee Camp.

At around 02:10 on the same day, Israeli drones targeted a group of people gathered south of al-Iqlimi Park in the al-Mawasi area, southwest of Khan Younis. As a result, two people were injured, one of them a child.

At around 20:00 on Friday, 25 September 2026, medical sources at al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City declared Qosay Mo’amar Sha’ban Hilles (20) dead after he succumbed to critical injuries sustained in an earlier Israeli attack. He had remained in the Intensive Care Unit since sustaining his injuries.

At around 18:40 on the same day, Israeli drones fired a missile at Ibrahim Fawzi Isma’il Mohsen (33) and instantly killed him while he was inside al-Sawarah Cemetery, southwest of al-Nuseirat Refugee Camp in the central Gaza Strip.

At around 13:22 on the same day, Israeli drones fired two missiles at Mohammed Kamel Suleiman Mohsen al-Regeb (32) while he was walking in front of Wijdan Displacement Camp, west of al-Aqsa University in al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis. As a result, he was killed.

PCHR emphasizes that the IOF’s attacks on Palestinian civilians and their civilian gatherings, including displacement tents, continue despite the absence of any hostilities, indicating that they are part of a systematic campaign to kill as many Palestinians as possible, within an ongoing pattern of conduct that has persisted for nearly three years and has so far resulted in the killing of more than 74,000 Palestinians, including 1,422 since the ceasefire was declared on 10 October, according to the Ministry of Health.

PCHR calls upon the international community to fulfil its legal obligations to protect civilians in the Gaza Strip, take immediate and effective measures to halt Israeli attacks against civilians and civilian objects, and take tangible steps to ensure accountability for those responsible for these crimes and end the impunity enjoyed by perpetrators of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
