The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continue to carry out widespread and systematic attacks against Palestinian civilians across the Gaza Strip by targeting inhabited homes, shelters, civilian gatherings, and civilian vehicles, as part of the ongoing genocide against more than two million Palestinians. These attacks form part of a broader policy aimed at destroying the essentials of life in the Gaza Strip through mass killings, systematic destruction, starvation, and forced displacement, in what amounts to one of the largest campaigns of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people in modern history. They also reflect Israel’s continued determination to depopulate the Gaza Strip and impose a new demographic reality by force.

PCHR’s field researchers documented a series of Israeli attacks carried out between 19 and 21 July 2026, during which 22 Palestinians, including six children and three women, were killed and dozens of others were injured. The attacks targeted homes, shelters, civilian gatherings, and civilian vehicles across Gaza City, North Gaza, the Central Gaza Strip, and Khan Younis.

The most prominent incidents documented by PCHR’s field researchers are as follows:

At approximately 16:20 on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, an Israeli drone fired a missile at civilians gathered outside the Muslim Young Women’s Association building near the Public Service Hospital in Gaza City. The attack killed four Palestinians: Jihad Taysir Kamel ‘Azzam (37), Mohammed Mahmoud Mohammed Hawwari (45), Sobhi Jawad Sobhi Saqallah (34), and Abdullah Ahmed Fares Joha (28). Several others sustained varying injuries.

At approximately 13:50 on the same day, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a civilian Hyundai Tucson vehicle while it was travelling at the Najd Intersection in al-Zahra, in the Central Gaza Strip. The attack killed Nabhan Mohammed Nabhan al-‘Amasi (51) and Ra’ed Hani Mohammed al-‘Amasi (33), whose bodies were completely burned.

At approximately 02:55, Israeli warplanes bombed an apartment on the first floor in a house belonging to al-Masri family, opposite the Chamber of Commerce in Gaza City. The attack killed Firas Ahmed Na’eem al-Masri (33), his wife Salsabil Mohammed ‘Ali Fares al-Masri (33), and their four children: Na’eem (13), Amira (10), Salma (6), and Ferial (2). Several nearby residents were also injured, while the apartment caught fire, burning the victims’ bodies.

At approximately 19:45 on Monday, 20 July 2026, an Israeli drone fired a missile at an electric motorcycle travelling in front of the Egyptian Committee headquarters on Salah al-Deen Street, east of al-Zawaydah in the Central Gaza Strip. The attack killed the rider, Mohannad As’ad Mahmoud Abu Ghazal (30), whose body was torn apart.

At approximately 18:40 on the same day, Israeli warplanes struck the first floor of the former Yemen al-Saeed Hospital building on al-Hawja Street in Jabalia Refugee Camp, which is being used as a shelter for dozens of displaced families. The attack killed four Palestinians, including two women and a girl: Jamil Hammad Younis Abu Shaqfah (68), his daughter Nour al-Huda (23), Shireen Ismail Akram ‘Issa (24), and Nour Hamdi Ibrahim Matar (16). Around ten others were injured.

At approximately 16:03, an Israeli drone targeted a civilian vehicle belonging to Rimal al-Sahra Security and Guarding Company as it was passing near the British Hospital on al-Rashid Coastal Road, southwest of al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. The attack killed three company employees: ‘Alaa Mohammed Salem Sha’at (23), Mahmoud Ibrahim Ahmed al-Farra (41), and Hamada Suleiman Ghanem Abu Nahia (52), while several other civilians were injured. The company provides security for humanitarian aid convoys and commercial trucks entering through Kerem Shalom Crossing.

At approximately 12:35 on Monday, 20 July 2026, an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a civilian Hyundai Accent vehicle travelling near al-Ghefari Intersection in Gaza City. The driver, Mahmoud Saleh (39), sustained critical injuries, while 13 passers-by were also wounded. At approximately 18:15 the same day, medical sources announced that he had succumbed to his injuries.

Between approximately 14:30 and 15:15 on Monday afternoon, three Israeli quadcopter drones attacked groups of people along al-Rashid Coastal Road, near Shams Chalet, and beside Mo’awiyah Mosque, west of al-Mawasi in Rafah. Five people, including a woman, were injured.

At approximately 14:53 on Sunday, 19 July 2026, an Israeli drone targeted Osama Kamal Shahada Abu Taym (24) outside his displacement tent near the Asdaa area, northwest of al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. He was killed only eight days after his wedding, while ten other displaced persons were injured.

PCHR reiterates that IOF’s continued attacks on civilian gatherings, inhabited homes, shelters, civilian vehicles, and personnel involved in securing humanitarian aid constitute a recurring pattern of unlawful attacks in violation of the fundamental principles of distinction, military necessity, and precaution. These attacks form part of the ongoing crime of genocide committed against the population of the Gaza Strip.

PCHR calls on the international community to take urgent action to end these crimes; take all effective measures to ensure international protection for the civilian population; hold Israeli leaders accountable for the crimes they have committed; and ensure the implementation of the International Court of Justice’s Orders and the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court, in accordance with the legal obligations binding on all States.
