Introduction

Under the

perpetrated more violations against Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian
Territories (OPT). This week, Israeli forces encroached into more Palestinian
areas, killing a number of Palestinians and destroying some public and private
facilities. 10 Palestinians, including 8
civilians, were killed by Israeli occupying forces this week.

This week,
Israeli occupying forces invaded Ramallah-al Bireh area twice. First, they invaded the area on Friday
morning, 7 June, killing a Palestinian, wounding eight others and destroying
some security centers. Israeli forces
invaded the area again on Monday morning, killing a Palestinian, wounding some
and causing severe damage to a number of public and private buildings. They obstructed the work of medical personnel
and journalists. They also raided a number of civilian institutions and
arrested more than 50 Palestinian college students.

Israeli
occupying forces also encroached into the West Bank cities of Jenin, Tulkarm, Bethlehem
and Hebron and surrounding villages. They raided houses and arrested some Palestinians.

In the Gaza
Strip, Israeli occupying forces shelled and encroached into Palestinian
areas. Israeli combat helicopters
shelled houses in Khan Yunis wounding more than 10 Palestinian civilians.

In two
apparent willful killings, Israeli occupying forces shot dead two Palestinian
civilians. On Sunday, 9 June, Israeli
forces shot dead a Palestinian civilian from Beit Hanoun near “Erez” industrial
zone in the northern Gaza Strip. On
Tuesday, 11 June, Israeli forces killed an 8-year-old in al-Mughraqa area south
of Gaza City. The child was playing near
his family’s house.

In a
continuation of aggressive measures against Palestinian civilians in occupied
Jerusalem, on Tuesday morning, 11 June, Israeli occupying forces demolished
Palestinian under-construction houses in Sour Baher village.

Israeli
occupying forces have maintained the total siege imposed on the OPT in a
collective punishment for the Palestinian people

Israeli forces have separated Palestinian areas, transforming them into
cantons
In
the Gaza Strip, Israeli occupying forces have maintained a strict siege on
al-Mawasi area, isolating it from the rest of the strip. In the West Bank, Israeli occupying forces
declared Ramallah and al-Bireh closed military areas, prohibiting movement of
Palestinians from and to the two cities. This week, a Palestinian old man died at an Israeli military checkpoint
in the West Bank, after Israeli occupying forces had denied him passage on his
way back from Jordan. The old man was
patient and received medical treatment in a Jordanian hospital.
