The Bar
Association was shocked by the campaign waged against the Palestinian Center
for Human Rights (PCHR) ignoring its long history of advocacy for international
and Arab human rights issues, especially at the Palestinian level. PCHR has tirelessly struggled and defended Palestinian
human rights at international and regional levels. The Palestinian people are proud of what PCHR
has been doing to uncover and report on Israeli crimes against Palestinians,
which has taken it up to the highest levels. It has also put Palestine on the list of human rights and freedoms’
defenders.

Therefore, the
Palestinian Bar Association highly appreciates PCHR’s position and work to
defend Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails as well as all prisoners around
the world because PCHR is part of the justice system that is dedicated to
defend public freedoms and rights according to the international and
constitutional instruments.
