The Women’s Rights Unit in the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) organized a farewell ceremony for Magnea Marinósdóttir, Head of Office for The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation in Jerusalem. This event was attended by partner organizations of Kvinna till Kvinna Office, the Women’s Affairs Centre, (WAC) and Aisha Association.
Mona al-Shawa, Head of Woman Unit, welcomed the attendance and discussed her work experience with Magnea as a friend and partner, who was highly professional and affiliated with all cases she worked on, and wished her every success in her future career. Mona also praised the role of Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation along with its partner organizations in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt).
Amal Siam, Director of the Women’s Affairs Center; Reem Fraina, Aisha’s Director; and Nadia Abu Nahla, Member of PCHR’s Board of Directors, gave speeches praising their experience of working with Magnea and what she offered during her work period.
Magnea felt sad for leaving the oPt and praised her rich experience in working with the partner organizations , whose work is highly appreciated in light of the very difficult circumstances.
At the end of the ceremony, Mona al-Shawa presented PCHR’s honor emblem to Magnea. PCHR usually presents the honor emblem to its distinguished friends.
It should be noted that Magnea has worked as the Head of Office for The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation in Jerusalem since February 2014.
