The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) received a delegation from the Representative Office of Norway to the Palestinian Authority (PA) on Wednesday, 18 September 2019.  The delegation comprised of Sibjorn Litland, First Secretary, and Ghassan Shakhshir, Programs Advisor.

PCHR’s Director, Raji Sourani, received the delegation and praised the long-term partnership with Norway and its role in supporting human rights issues in Palestine.

During the meeting, they discussed the prospects and ways of cooperation and strengthening partnership between PCHR and the Representative Office of Norway over the coming period in light of the increasing restrictions on the work of the Palestinian human rights organizations and the ongoing deterioration of the human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Furthermore, PCHR made a presentation on its programs and activities at the local and international levels in the field of protecting human rights, promoting the rule of law and applying international humanitarian law.
