PCHR
participated in the International Conference at Bir Zeit University on
“Palestine and International Law, New Approaches” on 24-26 September 2010. The three-day conference, which was organised
by the Institute of International Law of the Faculty of Law in Bir Zeit
University, addressed the issue of the place and role of international law in
the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) in order to develop a better
understanding of the legal policy led in the OPT. The conference is the first of this kind
organized by a Palestinian university, and it brought together 20 experts from
various Palestinian and international universities and organizations, dealing
with the issue of international law and the Palestinian context.
