PCHR Mourns Death of Nationalist Intellectual and Arab Human Rights Pioneer Mohsen ‘Awad

The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) has sadly received the death of Mr. Mohsen ‘Awad, leaving behind a great legacy of a human rights journey that will enlighten all human rights defenders for decades.

 

Mr. ‘Awad was one of the prominent founding pioneers of the human rights movement in the Arab world as he along with a group of human rights defenders held significant panels to disseminate the culture of human rights and rule of law all over the Arab countries.

 

The deceased was a stubborn fighter when it comes to human rights defense; he contributed a lot to Egypt and the Arab world in a way that can never be ignored, and history is a witness to his invaluable achievements that made everybody appreciate, respect and be grateful for what he had accomplished.

 

Mr. ‘Awad was friend for the Palestinian people and has always supported the Palestinian cause that had guided his human rights and humanitarian struggle.

 

In addition to his achievements on the ground, Mr. ‘Awad published tens of literary works that fed the international and Arab libraries and became a genuine reference for researchers in human rights field and political struggle.

 

With the loss of Mohsen ‘Awad, the human rights movement has lost an inspirational man who was distinguished for his dedication, hard work, modesty, and courtesy and spent all his life defending the rights of his people and the Arab people.
