Ref: 56/2011

On Thursday, 22 September 2011, the Permanent Military Court in
Gaza City held its fourth hearing to consider the case of murdering Vittorio
Arigoni, an Italian solidarity activist. Lawyers from the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) attended the
hearing, in their capacity as the legal representatives of Arigoni’s family, accompanied
by Attorney Gilberto Pagani, a representative of the family who arrived in the
Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening, 21 September 2011.

The court listened to witnesses of the military prosecution. It adjourned the hearing to 03 October 2011
after instructing the military prosecution to bring the other witnesses.

PCHR lawyers, in accordance with the power of attorney granted to
them by Arigoni’s family, will continue to follow up the court hearings, in
coordination with Attorney Gilberto Pagani, to inform Arigni’s family about the
developments in the case.
