Parallel Conference on the Fourth Geneva Convention
begins in Geneva Today

The Parallel Conference organized by PCHR and LAW on enforcement mechanisms for the Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, begins today at 11:00 am.
The Conference will now be held in the Centre de Conferences de Varembe, 9 Rue de Varembe (the same building as the Swiss Mission) in Room B, on the ground floor.
Please note the change of venue, the Conference will not be held at the Palais des Nations, because, at the last minute, the necessary accreditation was lamentably withheld.
According to the latest information available to PCHR and LAW, the Conference of High Contracting Parties to the Convention will go ahead tomorrow, 15 July 1999, as scheduled, despite some suggestions to the contrary.
