When al-Zinati along with his two cousins arrived at the centre of the village,  members of (T) family stepped out of a car with an Israeli registration plate and pointed a weapon at Dirar. They forced him at gunpoint to get out of his car and took him to al-Jabal area in Birzeit, where they directly opened fire at him, wounding him with 3 bullets in his chest and shoulder. They then took him in their car to a medical center in Birzeit as he was in critical health condition.
