Please join us for a special evening with world-renowned Palestinian human rights defenders Raji Souraniand Shawan Jabarin, and Columbia University scholar Rashid Khalidi. Raji and Shawan will provide timely perspectives from the ground in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and discuss ongoing efforts to protect basic human rights. They will discuss current struggles for accountability for widespread violations, including before the International Criminal Court, and the future facing Palestinians. Rashid Khalidi will address the role of U.S. policy towards Israel and Palestine in exacerbating the critical situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The panel will be moderated by CCR Board Chair and Columbia Law School Professor Katherine Franke, and introductory remarks will be provided by CCR Executive Director Vince Warren.
