The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) killed at least 16 Palestinians, including a woman and her unborn child, in a series of attacks documented by Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) field researchers between 11 and 15 September 2026 across the Gaza Strip. These incidents underscore the IOF’s continued and widescale targeting of civilians in places of displacement and residence, further demonstrating that no safe place remains anywhere in the Gaza Strip amid Israel’s ongoing attacks and targeting of residential areas, displacement tents, vehicles, and passersby.
Information collected by PCHR field researchers indicates that the recent attacks documented during the reporting period targeted areas where civilians were living or seeking shelter, including displacement camps in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, and al-Wafaa’ Camp in Gaza City, as well as in Jabalia, al-Zawayda, and Deir al-Balah. Palestinians sheltering in tents or moving along the streets were also targeted amid the IOF’s ongoing killing, targeting, and destruction across the Gaza Strip, as part of its ongoing crime of genocide.
As documented by PCHR field researchers, at approximately 00:55 on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a Palestinian walking along the street between Family Bakery and Intersection 17 in western Gaza City. As a result, Yousif Sa’ed al-Deen Rashed al-Za’eem (33) was killed.
At approximately 23:30 on Monday, 14 September 2026, an Israeli drone fired a missile at a civilian vehicle near the Elementary School in al-Saftawi area in Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip. As a result, Ahmed Mohammed al-Batsh (48) was killed, while two others sustained injuries and were taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for medical treatment.
At approximately 16:30 on Monday, 14 September 2026, an Israeli drone struck a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians near Street 5 in northwestern al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. As a result, Ra’fat Hasan Khamis Abu al-Zomor (49) was killed, while others were injured and taken to Naser Medical Complex for medical treatment.
At approximately 13:40 on the same day, an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a residential unit in ‘Ajour family house, located next to the Maternity Ward to the south of al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City. As a result, Mohammed Khader Fahmi ‘Ajour (50) was killed, while two other residents of the house were injured and taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for treatment.
Between 12:00 and 13:20, the IOF targeted tents sheltering displaced Palestinians and gatherings in al-Wafaa’ Camp in Gaza City; near Jabalia al-Nazla Governmental Clinic, also known as “the Primary Healthcare Centre,” in northern Gaza; east of al-Zawayda village; and a displacement camp in western al-Maghazi Refugee Camp in the central Gaza Strip. The attacks involved several missiles fired by drones and gunfire. As a result, 18 people were injured, including a child whose condition was reported serious.
At approximately 17:30 on Saturday, 12 September 2026, medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis announced the death of Helal Mahmoud Saleh Abu Taha (13), who succumbed to critical injuries he sustained in a previous drone attack on people near al-Qobbah Mosque in northwestern al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, on the morning of Thursday, 10 September.
At approximately 11:06 on Saturday, 12 September 2026, an Israeli drone targeted a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians west of Street 5 in northwestern al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, injuring nine Palestinians, most of them children. All of the injured were taken to the Palestine Red Crescent Hospital in al-Mawasi for medical treatment.
At approximately 17:30 on Friday, 11 September 2026, medical sources at Naser Medical Complex announced the death of Eman Mohammed Soliman Abu Shalouf (25) and her unborn child. Eman, who was seven months pregnant, succumbed to injuries sustained on 8 September 2026 after she was shot in the head while inside her tent at Tebbet al-Rayyan Refugee Camp in southwestern al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. According to the available information, the bullet was fired by Israeli soldiers stationed in the Yellow Zone, more than one kilometer away, northwestern al-Mawasi, Rafah.
At approximately 10:30 on Friday, 11 September 2026, an Israeli drone targeted a group of people gathered near al-Somoud Camp in southwestern al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. As a result, Jihad Samih Mahmoud Isma’il (36) was killed, while others, mostly children, were injured and taken to Naser Medical Complex for medical treatment.
PCHR emphasizes that the incidents documented over the past several days demonstrate the IOF’s ongoing targeting of Palestinians, including children, women, and displaced persons. The IOF continues to use lethal force against Palestinians living in areas near those under their control.
PCHR calls upon the international community to take immediate and effective action to stop Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, ensure the protection of civilians and civilian objects, and halt killings, attacks, destruction, and forced displacement. PCHR further calls for tangible measures to ensure accountability for those responsible for these crimes and to end the impunity enjoyed by perpetrator of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
