On Monday, 22 June 2015, human rights organizations participated in
a sit-in before the offices of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in
Gaza in solidarity with the prisoner Khader Adnan, who has been on hunger
strike for the 49th consecutive day.

Staff members of the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), Al Mezan Center for Human Rights and Al Dameer Association for Human Rights joined the sit-in. They
raised banners calling for putting an end to the policy of administrative
detention and force-feeding that puts the lives of prisoners on a hunger strike
at stake and violates the prisoners’ basic right to go on hunger strike.

Lawyer Raji Sourani, Direct of PCHR, delivered a speech on behalf
of all human rights organizations. He stressed the support given by human
rights organizations to Adnan who is, with his empty stomach, going through a
legal struggle on behalf of the whole nation. He added that after all other
means were exhausted, Adnan is struggling with his body cells.

Sourani displayed the inhumane conditions experienced by the
Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails, and Israeli violations and crimes
committed against them. Sourani promised that the legal struggle of human
rights organizations to prosecute Israeli war criminals atn the international
level will never stop.
