On Thursday, 30 January 2014, the Democratic
Development Unit (DDU) of the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR)
conducted a workshop on “Legal Restrictions Over the Freedom of Opinion
and Expression” in cooperation with the Youth Capacity Building Society.
The workshop was attended by 26 participants.

The unit also conducted three other workshops
last week with youth groups. They addressed political participation, democracy,
political systems and the role of youth in democratization. A group of social
activists and persons interested in human rights issues attended the meetings.
Each workshop was attended by over 20 participants. The meetings were
facilitated by Mohammed Abu Hashem, a human rights activist and a volunteer at
PCHR.
