The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continue to commit crimes against Palestinian civilians, killing them amid relentless airstrikes and gunfire from drones, military vehicles and cranes across the Gaza Strip. The attacks have targeted areas adjacent to the so-called “Yellow Line,” as part of Israel’s ongoing three-year genocidal campaign.
Between 16 and 21 September 2026, the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) documented the killing of 16 Palestinians, including three children and two women, while dozens more were injured in attacks targeting civilian gatherings, vehicles, displacement tents, and residential areas.

At around 17:30 on Monday, 21 September 2026, an Israeli drone opened fire on civilian homes in the al-Mashahrah area of al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, injuring Sondos Bassam Waleed Karim (15) with a gunshot wound to the head. Medical sources at al-Shifa Medical Complex later pronounced her dead after she succumbed to her critical injuries that evening.
At around 10:00 on the same day, Israeli military vehicles opened fire in the vicinity of the Abu Middain Police Station on Salah al-Deen Street, southwest of al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. As a result, Fedaa’ Khader Ibrahim Totah (29) sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Medical sources at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital later pronounced her dead after she succumbed to her injuries. The shooting coincided with intense artillery shelling of the eastern areas of al-Bureij and al-Maghazi while two other Palestinians, including a child, were injured and taken to the same hospital.
On the same morning, medical sources at al-Shifa Medical Complex pronounced Mohsen Ahmed Mostafa Bahjat (25) dead after he succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head sustained while he was near his tent in the vicinity of Abu Sharekh Intersection. He was shot on Thursday afternoon, 17 September 2026, when Israeli occupation forces’ military cranes deployed in the eastern areas of northern Gaza opened fire.
At around 16:00 on Saturday, 19 September 2026, an Israeli drone targeted a white Kia Sportage civilian vehicle as it was traveling near al-Souq Intersection in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City, killing Yehia Hamed Yousif Hamdonah (40), who was inside the vehicle. Eight other people were also injured while passing through the area and were taken to al-Saraya Field Hospital and al-Shifa Medical Complex for medical treatment.
At around 11:25 on the same morning, an Israeli drone targeted a gathering of people in the vicinity of al-Zahraa’ Mosque in Beit Lahia in western Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip. As a result, Baseer Muneer ‘Abdullah al-Borsh (28) was killed, while another person sustained moderate injuries and was taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for medical treatment.
At around 10:15 on the same morning, an Israeli drone fired a missile at Ra’ed Naser Salem Abu ‘Aser (23) while he was on Mushtaha Street in the al-Shuja’iya neighbourhood, east of Gaza City, killing him. Due to the danger posed by the area’s proximity to the so-called “Yellow Line,” people were only able to retrieve his body approximately one hour after the attack.
Also on Saturday morning, medical sources at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip pronounced Mays Khamis Sa’id Bazazo (9) dead after she succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head sustained a week earlier while she was near her family’s tent in the Egyptian Displacement Camp, north of the New Camp in northwestern Nuseirat refugee camp. According to available information, she was shot by IOF’s vehicles and military cranes stationed near Wadi Gaza Bridge, northeast of the camp.
At around 19:20 on Friday, 18 September 2026, an Israeli drone targeted a gathering of people in the vicinity of the al-Baydar area on al-Rasheed Street, southwest of Gaza City. As a result, Mohammed Khaled Mohammed al-Refa’ie (24) was killed, while others sustained various injuries.
At around 18:00, an Israeli drone targeted a Palestinian man riding a bicycle on the western side of Sheikh Radwan Pool in Gaza City. As a result, Huthayfah Mahmoud ‘Abdel Fattah ‘Awad (32) was killed. The strike occurred as he was passing near a displacement tent set up along the pool’s fence. A child was also moderately injured and taken to al-Shifa Medical Complex for medical treatment.
At around noon on the same day, IOF opened fire toward Block 9 in al-Bureij refugee camp, injuring three people, including two women. All three were taken to al-‘Awda Hospital in al-Nuseirat refugee camp for medical treatment.
At around 08:30, medical sources pronounced Karam Mos’ad Jamal al-Masar’ie (29) dead after he succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest sustained the previous day while he was in the Julis area, north of al-Nuseirat refugee camp. According to available information, al-Masar’ie was shot by IOF stationed inside the area known as the “Yellow Line,” northeast of al-Nuseirat refugee camp. The areas of Julis, al-Da’wah, Block C, and al-Mufti Land have increasingly faced recurring risks from gunfire by IOF or from their positions and military cranes located inside the “Yellow Line,” in addition to sporadic drone hovering above these areas, with drones also opening fire.
At around 15:02 on Thursday, 17 September 2026, an Israeli drone targeted Mohammed Naser Soliman al-Bayouk (37) in the al-Batn al-Sameen area, south of Khan Younis, killing him instantly. His body was taken to Nasser Medical Complex.
At around 08:00 on Wednesday, 16 September 2026, an Israeli drone targeted a tent inside al-Wafaa’ displacement camp, in the vicinity of al-Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City. As a result, 12 Palestinians sustained various injuries. Medical sources at al-Shifa Medical Complex later pronounced Ahmed Bezhat Saleh al-Sha’er (36) dead after he succumbed to the critical injuries he sustained in the strike. He remained in the intensive care unit receiving treatment until his death was pronounced.
At around 15:15, an Israeli drone targeted people gathered on al-Sekah Street in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City. As a result, Sa’id As’ad Sa’id Ikrayem (25) was killed.
At around 13:00, an Israeli drone targeted people gathered in the vicinity of ‘Afana Villa, located on the road connecting al-Shuhada’ Street and the al-Katiba area, west of Gaza City. As a result, four Palestinians sustained various injuries. One of them, Saleh Ziad Ibrahim Miqdad (35), later succumbed to the critical injuries he sustained in the attack.
At around 12:50, an Israeli drone targeted people gathered in front of al-Sharif Café on al-Sekah Street, west of al-Bureij refugee camp, while people were queuing to collect drinking water from a central water station. As a result, Mohammed Jamal ‘Eid (38) and ‘Oday Mohammed Waleed al-Moreidi (5) were killed, while ten other Palestinians sustained various injuries. The injured were taken to al-‘Awda Hospital in al-Nuseirat refugee camp, and six of them were later transferred to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
PCHR emphasizes that recurrent attacks on civilians inside their homes and tents, on public roads, and while queuing for drinking water, together with continuous gunfire from IOF’s positions toward inhabited areas, pose a constant threat to civilians’ lives.
PCHR calls upon the international community to take immediate and effective action to stop Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, ensure the protection of civilians and civilian objects, and halt killings, attacks, destruction, and forced displacement. PCHR further calls for tangible measures to ensure accountability for those responsible for these crimes and to end the impunity enjoyed by perpetrator of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
