In Gaza, education is deliberately targeted as part of a systematic crime of genocide, through the destruction of schools and universities, imposition of forced displacement, and creation of a permanent environment of fear that denies Palestinian female students their right to learn.

The impact of this crime extends far beyond any ceasefire to reach into the future of women, disrupting their educational paths, deepening economic and social marginalization, and stripping an entire generation of its right to knowledge and to become productive and active members of their society.
