In October 2011, Raji
Sourani, Director of PCHR, delivered a lecture which was jointly hosted by the
Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology in Boston. The lecture was moderated by Dr Sara Roy, Senior Research
Scholar at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard
University.

In the lecture, Sourani
addressed the issues of the closure of the Gaza Strip, the lack of
accountability for Palestinian victims of human rights and humanitarian law
violations by Israel, the impact of the internal political division between the
authorities in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and the prospective
implications of the Arab Spring.
