PCHR has compiled statistical
information related to the al-Aqsa (second)
intifada as well as general information about the
Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). But behind the numbers
of killed, injured, house demolitions etc. we find concrete
violations of international humanitarian law rarely
mentioned in the media. Therefore, PCHR has made links from
each category below to the relevant Articles in The Fourth
Geneva Convention - the convention written to protect
civilian during times of armed conflict to which 189
countries are signatories; including Israel - as well as
additional relevant covenants under the United Nations
violated by Israel.
